1. At the beginning of each job and at least weekly thereafter a walk-around inspection of the job site will be conducted jointly by one member of management and one of our employees. (WAC 296-155-110 inclusive)
2. The client must conduct an orientation that familiarizes the Flagger with the job site each time the Flagger is assigned to a new project or when the job site conditions change significantly and at least once a week thereafter. The flagger is required to fill out an orientation site check form. (WAC 295-155-110 (5)(a) & (296-155-305)(7)(a)
3. One of the client's crew must have a first aid card and the client must provide a first-aid kit on site. (WAC 296-800-15020 296-155-120) The Flagger is not allowed to use a cell phone while flagging; therefore the crew must make arrangements for calling 911 if it becomes necessary. (WAC 296-155-305 (e)1.
4. If the client is setting up their own traffic control devices, the client must provide the proper amount of advanced warning signs, which is 3 for each flagger if the speed limit is 40MPH and 4 for each flagger, if the speed limit is 45 or higher. (WAC 296-155-305 (8) a
5. CLIENTS MUST PROVIDE FLAGGERS WlTH THE FOLLOWING AND INSURE THAT: 296-155-305
a. Flaggers have floodlights during the hours of darkness. (9)c
b. Warning signs that reflect the actual conditions of the work zone. (8)b
c. Flaggers are not assigned other duties. (9)d
d. Flaggers receive 10 min breaks every 4 hrs. (9)f
